About the procedure

Why choose us for laser liposuction?

Choosing the right plastic surgery clinic is crucial to the potential success or failure of any procedure. At Premier Clinic, we combine the expertise of leading specialists with state-of-the-art technology to ensure that the result meets – and ideally exceeds – your expectations.

An experienced and professional team

Procedures are carried out by doctors with extensive experience in cosmetic surgery and valid certifications, who have performed hundreds of successful liposuction procedures.

State-of-the-art, latest-generation laser technology

We use certified Swiss laser devices with a wavelength of 980 nm, which precisely target fat cells whilst gently firming and tightening the surrounding skin.

A gentle procedure with minimal recovery time

Swelling and bruising are significantly less with this procedure than with traditional methods. You can return to work within 24–48 hours, and only minor restrictions apply in the weeks that follow.

Precise body contouring with a natural-looking result

The laser makes it possible to sculpt even smaller areas that are extremely difficult to slim down, whilst the result looks natural and blends harmoniously into your overall silhouette.

A personalised treatment plan

Every client has different wishes and a different body. We always design the scope of the procedure, the areas to be treated and the approach individually, based on a consultation.

The comfortable facilities of a premium clinic

The procedure takes place in the modern, state-of-the-art operating theatres at our Prague clinic, where we ensure your utmost comfort from the moment you arrive until you leave.

Preliminary consultation and preparation

It all begins with a thorough consultation, during which the doctor will assess your health, identify your goals and suggest the best course of action.

Together, you will discuss which areas are suitable for treatment, whether the procedure needs to be split into several stages, and what realistic expectations can be set for the outcome.

Part of the preparation also involves a basic blood test and discontinuing any medication that affects blood clotting at least two weeks before the operation.

The procedure

The procedure itself is carried out under local anaesthesia using a tumescent solution, which numbs the area and significantly reduces bleeding. In some cases, we use general anaesthesia, administered using a gentle low-flow method to minimise side effects.

A thin cannula containing a laser fibre is inserted into the subcutaneous tissue; this gently heats and breaks down the fat cells. The released fat is then suctioned out or, in the case of smaller volumes, naturally drained away via the lymphatic system.

At the same time, the laser stimulates collagen fibres, causing the skin in the treated area to contract and tighten – this is a major advantage over traditional tumescent liposuction, after which the skin may remain saggy.

Recovery

After the procedure, the treated area is wrapped in compression garments, which help to minimise swelling and promote skin adhesion.

Most clients return to work within 2–3 days; the compression garments are worn for approximately 2–6 weeks, as recommended by the doctor.

It is advisable to postpone intensive sporting activities for 3–4 weeks; the same applies to saunas and solariums. The final silhouette gradually takes shape as the swelling subsides and will be fully apparent in approximately 3–6 months.

Further options

If you are also interested in alternative approaches to body contouring, we also offer vibrational liposuction or VASER lipo – an ultrasound-based method particularly suitable for denser fatty tissue. In cases where there is sagging skin following liposuction, the procedure can be supplemented with the removal of sagging skin – a body lift.

How much does laser liposuction cost?

The cost of laser liposuction depends on the extent of the procedure and the number of areas treated. We will always provide you with a precise, personalised quote following a consultation, with no hidden fees. You can find a guide to prices in our laser medicine price list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about laser liposuction.

For which areas of the body is laser liposuction most suitable?

The method works wonders on the stomach, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms and double chin.

Thanks to the precision of the laser fibre, it is also ideal for smaller and more challenging areas, such as the knees or the inner arms, where there is a risk of sagging skin.

How much fat can be removed in a single procedure?

The volume is not measured in kilograms but in millilitres, and depends on the patient’s state of health, total body weight and the size of the area being treated.

When combined with the tumescent technique, up to approximately 2 litres of lipoaspirate can be safely removed. Larger areas are divided into several stages.

Are the results of laser liposuction permanent?

Fat cells in adults no longer divide, so once removed, they are not replaced. The result is therefore permanent, provided you maintain a stable weight and a healthy lifestyle.

However, significant weight gain may lead to further fat accumulation in the future.

When can the final results be seen after treatment?

Some slimming is noticeable almost immediately; however, as the swelling subsides, the silhouette continues to improve over the course of several months. The final result is usually fully visible approximately 3–6 months after the procedure.

Can laser liposuction be combined with other procedures?

Yes, laser liposuction is commonly combined with other cosmetic surgical procedures, such as a tummy tuck or a body lift.

Your doctor will recommend a combination of suitable procedures during your consultation, based on your specific goals.
